Dessers Double Sends Rangers to Scottish Cup Final!

Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers played the hero role for Rangers, scoring both goals in their 2-0 victory over Hearts at Hampden Park on Sunday.

The win secures Rangers' place in the Scottish Cup final, where they'll face bitter rivals Celtic.

Dessers, who now boasts 19 goals across all competitions this season, expressed his delight with the win and praised teammate Todd Cantwell for his assists on both goals.

"Reaching a final with Rangers is always a good feeling," Dessers told Rangers TV. "It wasn't the easiest game, but we got the job done."

He highlighted the importance of the early goal: "We started strong and got the first goal, which gave us a clear advantage. They had to push forward, creating more space for us."

Dessers acknowledged a potential foul on James Tavernier, but commended his persistence: "There was a foul on Tavernier, but he didn't give up. He played it to Todd who delivered a beautiful assist. I had some work to do in the box, but I'm happy I managed to get past the defender and finish well."

With the Old Firm rivals set to clash in the final, excitement is building for a thrilling Scottish Cup showdown.
