Uzo Aduba is the lead character in this movie, “Miss Virginia” based on a true story.
Uzo Aduba plays Walden Ford, a single mother who leads the fight for education reform in Washington, D.C. after struggling to provide her at-risk son a private school education in a safer neighborhood.
But when she can’t afford tuition, she launches a movement to change the system destroying him and thousands like him. Attacked and threatened by those who don’t want change from corrupt politicians, to the local drug lord, Virginia must discover depths of strength she never knew she had.
Miss Virginia also stars Vanessa Williams, Aunjanue Ellis, Amirah Vann, Adina Porter, and Niles Fitch.
