"Being Governor grants leadership of the state government," Abe explained, "but political leadership requires effort to earn trust and support."

"He's the Governor, and that position allows him to strive for that leadership," Abe said. "However, it's not automatically conferred."
Abe cites the example of the late Aminu Kano, a prominent Nigerian politician who held significant influence despite never being governor.
