Temitope Maureen Bankole aka Tiwa Banks is from a family of eight, hails from Ogun state and a well poised artist who broke into the music industry at an early age and still keeping up .
Her love for music started at an earlier age of 8 as a chorister. She delved into music professionally in 1998 started as a back-up singer and later featuring in collaboration with other artistes. She has been making music since the late 90's but released her debut single “PAMBOTORIBOTO” in 2008, and her second single “JULE” later, which was a dance track with flair. Her third single “TIWA N TIWA” enjoyed massive air play on both Nigerian radio and television stations.
The sonorous artiste who studied mass communication at the Lagos State Polytechnic is always working to make sure her fans are getting the best of music from her. She dropped some singles titled DANCE WELLA, Stop The Violence and ARIYA all produced by Da Unit Records and AASE produced by J SNOW was released in 2015. Then Altar call in 2016, Ariya in 2017, IYA MI in 2018 and a twelve tracked album titled TIWANTIWA was released online early 2019. ESE hits the radio that same year then LAI was released in 2021. On the 7th July 2022 ADURA got released. ADURA is a song released to encourage people to pray more that no matter what we are going through in our individual lives or the Nation as a whole God can still answer our Prayers, all we have to do is ask.
