Bill Seeking Social Media Regulation Passes Second Reading



The 'Protection from Internet Falsehood and Manipulation' bill has now passed second reading at the Senate.

Sani Musa, a senator from Niger State, moved the motion for a debate on the bill at the plenary on Wednesday.
The bill seeks to regulate social media usage in Nigeria.
Nigerians have been critical of the bill since its introduction on the floor of the Senate.
