Shot in the newly opened Black Rock Senegal (an art residency built by renowned Nigerian- American artist Kehinde Wiley) and celebrating the brand’s 3rd
anniversary, Tongoro’s #TongoroTribe Summer19 campaign is an ode to African culture, creativity and pride.
According to a statement from the brand:
“I love the idea of building something that is bigger than me and that resonates with so many differently, and the idea of the tribe reflects just that : it is all about finding each other and coming together, stronger. We’re building a brand, an African story, a global community, and a very unique tribe, and I wanted this series to make people a feel proud to be a part of that,” Sarah Diouf said.
