Senator Dino Melaye loses Kogi PDP Gubernatorial Ticket

According to Vanguard, Melaye lost the ticket to Engr Musa Wada, who emerged winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary on Wednesday.

The new governorship aspirant who is the younger brother to ex-governor of Kogi state, Idris Wada, got a total of 748 votes while Dino Melaye had 70 votes to come fourth.
Abubakar Mohammed Ibrahim, son of a former governor, Ibrahim Idris (Ibro), polled 710 votes, and Capt. Wada, the immediate past governor, came third with a total of 345 votes.
Melaye has released a statement on Twitter, saying his votes in “8 out of 10 ballot boxes are missing.”
“It is rediculous to declare a final result of Pdp Governorship primary election in Kogi State when my votes sorted out yesterday in 8 out of 10 ballot boxes are missing. Only to declare votes in 2 out of 10 ballot boxes as my votes. Totally unacceptable. Senator Dino Melaye,” he wrote.
